I have now broken the 1 month to go mark and the days are quickly disappearing! With less than 30 days until my departure the fact that I'm leaving is finally setting in. A mixture of excitement, panic, apprehension, and even a little melancholy to be missing out on a semester with my girls at SMC, is coming coming in full force as I continue packing, preparing, and planning!
This week I've had my first contact with my host mom via e-mail and she already sounds fabulous :) I will be living with her, her husband, and their 12 year old son (the youngest of their 5 kids just like me!).
This past weekend I went to the french consulate and I am expecting to get my passport and visa back any day now, the final official step towards leaving!
